Sweet Kisses
I love when someone walks up to me and pulls out their latest and greatest makeup find! Even when I’m sitting in a business meeting, somehow, we end up talking a little lipgloss. This week, the lovely, Nicole Beurkens, turned to me and said, “Do you have this yet?” With a huge smile, she held up a tube of Fresh Sugar Plum Tinted Lip Treatment. “This is the best!” I took the little tube, and tried it on my hand. Yep! She’s right. It’s just like my teenage favorite Black Cherry Lip Gloss by Clinique…only better. A tint of color, a hint of sunscreen and wonderful feel that left my lips feeling fab! I came hom e, went online to Sephora and ordered two!
Oatmeal for Everyone!
Also, this past week, while on a photo shoot with Melanie Roche, the subject of oatmeal came into the picture. “Your skin is so incredibly clear and beautiful! What are you doing?” She told me about her Kate Somerville skin care routine, and also shared that she washes her face with Instant Oatmeal. Yes. Oatmeal.
Grab yourself a container of Quaker Oats Instant Oatmeal, make it into a paste by adding a little warm water, and cleanse away. Of course I had to try this one for myself. I couldn’t believe how great my face felt after just one time so I thought, “Why not try this on my entire body !” I took a large glass filled with Steel Cut Oats into the shower. A few minutes later, the oatmeal had exfoliated my skin, leaving oh, so soft and smooth.
A few words of caution here; Steel Cut Oats -Not such a great idea.
They don’t dissolve the same way Instant Oats do. When my husband asked, ” So, does it work?” I said, “Yes. Yes. It does. And, you might want to bring a spoon into the shower with you. I think you can eat your breakfast in here.”
Not only does it act as an exfoliate for your skin, it also is gentle enough to use on all skin types, even sensitive skin. It softens and hydrates the skin, leaving it glowing and nourished.
